cracked disc

Last night I popped in MW2 but the disc is too damaged to play. After looking at it, I'm surprised I could even get into the pregame lobby. The button that secures the disc in the case caused a bunch of cracks to that inside ring, which has been manageable for the past month or two. But last night I saw that one of the cracks has spread out into the data portion of the disc, and caused the layers to seperate (looks like a water mark). Anyway, I'm contacting Activision today; they have a replacement policy that costs $20. At least that's better than paying full price at the store, but in the mean time I'm without a disc. My hard drive is small so I didn't have the game loaded there. I'm SOL for at least a couple weeks it seems.

That sucks! I am getting close myself. I have gotten a disk read error a few times over the past few months so I figure it's only a matter of time.

I also have the original 20gig HD so no download option for me either.

I got the orignal 20g and I have it copied to the hard drive with all the map packs. Thats about all I can fit on the hard drive. I think it left me with about around 3 G left which 2 our full of saved games. That sux coolhand.

Just picked up my 4th prestige tonight. I know that's old hat to some of you bastards that play all night every night, but it's kinda cool for me.

dont worry coolhand, we will prolly be at 10th prestige by the time u get your new disc back LOL

I was back on last night for the first time in nearly a month - I almost forgot just how much fun it is! I had a blast and look forward to getting some more. Tico's supersneaky defuse was epic! After 'practice' I was off for a couple hours but then managed to put together a room with Shabby Donkey, Jackal, and Rolling Thunder... we PWNED em all! (except our first game when we got nuked dirty chomos) Thunder was friggin clutch at the end of nearly every round. We had some really good comunication going (even though RT could only listen not talk) which led to solid teamwork and good times. Thanks everyone for the games!

It's cool Klown I am on my first Prestige still, don't think I'll go past it for a while.
