Dirt 3 - Coming 2011

Found a great "First Look" article today and it sounds fantastic! Looks like they are going to focus a little more on Rally this time around and return to the CMR roots a bit more. And at the same time not abandon the newer race styles introduced in Dirt 1 and 2. Frankly it sounds amazing. There is also mention of more cars as well as Snow, Rain and Night conditions! I have a feeling this is going to be one great game!

It's all combining to form a package that will delight fans old and new,
and even the imminent barrage of off-roaders – thanks to the doling out
of the WRC license to Gran Turismo 5 as well as Black Bean's own
official take on the series - shouldn't stop DiRT 3 from being the
definitive rally game when it launches next year.

Can't figure out what they mean here - are they saying that it will be more popular because GT5 also has a WRC liscense? Or is the "barrage" the number of WRC liscensed games coming out?

Also found this on Wikipedia:

Black Bean Games announced work on a WRC licensed title, which is set for release during September 2010. They are also working with iOpener Media to allow players to race against real WRC drivers in real time

Interesting - never heard of Black Bean though.

I had not hear of Black Bean either. And I doubt it's releasing in September 2010 or I think I would have heard about it. I am pretty goo about staying on top or gaming news. I guess I'll have to check it out.

As for the comment above, I think he is saying that even with all the competition coming out that Dirt 3 will still be THE Rally game to have.
