New 360

FYI for those who ordered one but were placed on hold because they ran out.
Well i was told the next shipment was coming in July 9th and I was second on the list. So this morning i got a call from gamestop saying they had it ready but they were going down the list, and that i had to get it ASAP or they would go to the next person.

So i immediatly left work to pick it up. Its pretty sweet. has a very cool glossy exterior. cant really see the Hard drive, but i'm sure its inside.

So no more waiting for me = epic win.

another win was that it only cost me 50 bucks out of pocket after i traded in one of boxes plus a few extra controllers and my N wireless adapter (u need to turn cd in too).

That is pretty sweet I'm about to check if they have them in around here and do the trade ins let me know how it runs.

I'm going to hold what I got for now...I have 2 boxes and 1 hard drive. I can't justify buying a new box until I actually start making some $ with this new business....whenever that is. Once I graduate from eating Roman Noodles I'll think about it.

or you can trade in both xbox at $100 each making $200 plus the hard drive idk what the size is but 20g get you $30 ,60g gets $35,120g gets $40 then you add in any controller wireless gets $25 each and 20 for wired .if you us wireless you can also trade that in as the new xbox has it build in so if you got the n one its $50 and 40 for the g one .


so over all you can be like oc he traded in some stuff and got his new xbox for free
o and that all from gamestop there trade in info
plus they are doing game trade in of $25 each

but i am going to hold off till xmas so i can hopefully get the slim and natal combo i am sure is going to come out

I would've opened mine in the store stop playing lol.

I too have Qty (2) white boxes and Qty (1) HDD. I can't justify a new box eventhough it has a few upgrades and a new shiny chassis. I know it's better than the original boxes but honestly...my old one is going to get me to the same COD/GOW/H3 lobby as you LOL

Plus, who knows what problems these will have.. I'll play the role of "wait and see" if those don't burn down your homes while you sleep or exhibit RROD behavior-- maybe I'll buy one later.

it is very very quiet. unlike my other boxes that sounded like they were going to lift off.

I went to gamestop last night 2 preorder mine, but the guy told me gamestop wasn't taking anymore preorders for the new xbox due 2 the demand and having people waiting for mad weeks too get theirs. is anyone else having this problem?

I think the Gamestop employee was trying to say that they will not give you a xbox on the first go around. Meaning you will have to wait for the next pre-order which is after July 9 for most gamestops. If not I walked into Gamestop and a guy was trading in his xbox 360 because he already bought one from ToysRUs. I didn't ask him if he was getting less store credit by buying the box from another company or not. So I would check other stores as well.

Ok i have to change my "quiet" statement...

It is quiet AS LONG AS you are running games off the HD. if you are running huge games like Forza, or Red Dead dead dead dead dead, from the disk, then it whines very loudly. I would almost dare say louder than a first gen 360. i was quite disappointed.

Baby arriving soon + iPad + iPhone4 = waiting for new Xbox until end of the year...might pick it up with Kinect. My wife has a greed it will be a Christmas present to each other...my wife rocks! Besides, my current Xbox runs well...no need to upgrade yet...I'll push it old school with UC and Klown.

Got two boxes. iPhone4 comes first. Then a new 1911 that I'm going to mod. Xbox slim will have to wait.
