Can the engrams purchased from xur roll 310 light? I already have a 310 chest and really don't need another, but could grab it to rank up a legendary in the event I find another 310 armor exotic.

The have a chance to roll 310, just like regular engrams.  So you could get lucky and get a 310 right off the bat or end up spending all your strange coin and not getting any 310's.
