Win 10 is out today

so got my install and all that done and I got to say I love MS's new browser super fast on the OS

never thought I would get ride of chrome for a reworked IE but boom happened
love the apps and being linked into my Xbox live is freakin\' win first thoughts is I do like the upgrade a lot..

any one else like or dislike it ?

I'll be putting it on my laptop at home soon, but I think I'll wait just a bit to make sure there aren't some crazy PC breaking issues. 8.1 works just great for me right now so I don't want to ruin it, lol.

I upgraded. Hearthstone and LoL work fine, which is primarily what I play.

My upgrade still just says " Windows 10 upgrade reserved " but I have no update button Crying or Very sad

I'm waiting on reviews before I make my upgrade. As a user, I think it looks like it'll be a neat OS and I'm seeing it get favorable reviews. As a developer, I'm not too excited by the browser it as it's yet another browser to support... but hopefully that won't be a problem.

I don't really run into problems developing for modern/current browsers. I imagine they'll be more RFC compliant than the old/outdated IE versions

Sticky, just depends on your graphics card drivers and if they've released directx12 for win 10 yet or not.

I dont believe Nvidia is upgrading anything but the 980 and 980 ti

I'll look into it when I have a chance.

LOL, just a tip from a poster over on Reddit...

Loaded up WIN 10 last night and left it on to do its thing. Woke up to wife asking why I set it to rotate all my porn images right on the desk top view. I have no idea how to shut that feature off and that computer is staying shut down until I do.

Free windows and a free trip to the doghouse. Thanks Microsoft!!!

Edit: Don't make my mistake, keep your private pictures out of My Pictures, no matter how deep you hide them in sub folders. My wife is very happy I admitted my mistake on this sub. She said I took my medicine and she now finds it quite funny. 'Ain't love grand?

I did look around and found out NVidia does plan on pushing dx12 out for older models soon

I said F it and went ahead and installed it. Too late to mess around with too much but I did test out the streaming to my laptop and it's freaking awesome. I can play my Xbox through my laptop while watching TV! With football season soon arriving I can see a lot of grinding, etc...being done just randomly while I'm watching some games. Freaking love it.

I have upgraded my Surface Pro 3 but I keep getting the dreaded Something Happened error on one of my laptops. Haven't been able to resolve that issue yet even after trying all of the items I found on the internet. I am hoping I don't have to do a clean install. This is my daughter's laptop and she is leaving for college in a week Sad

If I was having any weird issues, I'd just pull everything I cared about off and do a quick reinstall to get a clean image.

I upgraded my desktop over the weekend. Windows 10 seems kinda invasive by default. Was going through settings and turning off anything that was sending information to MS (assuming that actually does that). Noticed some software wasn't quite compatible with the upgrade, so I downgraded back to Windows 7 for the time being.
