Evolve first impressions

So evolve is out and I got to play a little bit last night on PS4. The game took longer to download and install then I thought it would so these thoughts are based on play solo mode only and not seeing any more of what's available then that. After playing a round as the Goliath and a round as the hunters, my biggest concern has been cleared Up. Either side you choose is fun as hell and very intense. playing as the hunters reminds me of destiny combat with jet packs and dash jumps and each class has an ability. You hunt beasts for a special buff and use it against the monster kind if like how LOL has barren and the dragon. At no point did I get bored just hunting the monster. You are always moving, climbing, shooting, and listening to conversation that the hunters have. The monster is fun as well. I had a more enjoyable time as the hunters since the beginning of his side is running away and eating animals. But once you become stage 3, holy sh1t does he feel good to play. Turtle Rock did an amazing job making you feel like an unstoppable force.
overall this game is exactly what turtle rock promised it would be and I hope to have even more fun once I start playing online with real people working together with voice chat.

I grabbed a copy and so did Kenny and Magus so we can roll as a team and wreck bros.  I'll be on playing tonight for sure.  I'll post up my impressions as soon as I get to play a bit.

It looked good in the streams I watched but replay value seemed to me lacking in longevity.

the only reason i have held off on it ... dont get me wrong i liked the beta and might pick this up when the price is right

I played the beta and I can see it being badass for about a month and only if you have a full group of 4 or 5. The game is terrible with randoms that don't try. It would make some great times with clanmates as its 4 vs 1 but its kinda like sports games n they're not that fun vs random people

I'm on the fence on this one.  I was pretty interested in it but I want to pick up The Order next week and I don't think I'll have the time for both.

Holy crap the order comes out on the 20th. I'll see you guys online for that. Sorry last semester then ill have more free time.

@Panzer - My thoughts exactly.  They kept delaying it and now it's FINALLY coming out.

I will probably skip Evolve all together, but maybe I'll rent it when bored someday.  The Order looks cool, but I will definitely just gamefly it when I have time - no reason to buy a singleplayer only.

This is one of the games that was the tipping point in me buying a PS4. It gives me something to play when I don't have the newest MP game or for when I need something that I can play solo while watching my daughter.

Evolve is wOrth the money I haven't had the much fun in a game In a long time. Worth 60 bucks.

its a good game but the fun you will have playing it depends on how good your team work is
