LNS Off-Season Fun Returns!

So, who is down and what do we want to do? The off-season is here and it's time to have some fun. Let's get some ideas, times and dates going and see what sticks.

Late Night Ideas:

Full Contact A-Class Tourney (anything goes)
Drifting Tourney
Soccer Tourney (2v2)
Cat and Mouse Team Tourney (3v3 or more depending on turn out)
Funny Cars Tourneys (SUV only, Trucks only, Hot Hatches only, Muscle only etc... )

What do you guys think? What has the most interest? Also, what days and times work best for our late night guys? Post up and let's get some ideas rolling.

Well, considering the higher placing drivers are all using Manual w/clutch now... you'd be making a penalize the middle of the pack tournament lol.

I'd like to do a truly full contact 2v2v2v2v2 tourney.

Each team has 1 A-class racer, and a slower/tank 2nd player.

Teammate 1 (The Racer) tries to race as normal and win.
Teammate 2 (The Destroyer) tries to wreck the other Racers so their teammate can win.

Big Bears, driving backwards, etc would all be encouraged. As are revenge suicide wreckings, track blocking, etc.

I like Atrums idea. I would also like to suggest a tourney that is set up as follows:

1.) Standard LNS rules are used (including Big Bear, reverse racing, suicides, etc.).
2.) 1 race for each of our normal classes F thru R3.
3.) Racers must create their own cars for each class (no using cars from clan garage or the pre-made R3 cars in the game).
3.) The order the classes are raced will be randomly determined, rather than racing them in ascending/decending order.
4.) All tracks will be randomly determined after the class is randomly chosen.
5.) When no racer is able to complete a race (ie everyone is broke down) the positions will be determined by how far each player got before they wrecked out.
6.) Points for each race will be awarded using the same system that is used for the season tourneys.
7.) As usual, auto-brake is not allowed.

I think this would be rather entertaining, especially since 3 & 4 will create all sorts of chaos, especially if we get R3 on something like Camino Viejo mini after F on Fujimi Kaido.

I like this idea but I am not ready to jump into another full season of events. I am more looking for 1 time fun options to play around with in the off season. Now if someone wants to run a Full Late Night Series go for it! But I can't run a late night series personally.

The event I proposed above would be a one night event and not a season. It would be like 8 races (one for each class) so it would only be 1 race longer than a normal tourney.

I'm in on whatever has people driving around the tarmac.

With the exception of Soccer....

The only problem I see with this is getting people to build 8 cars for 1 event. Some people have a problem making 1 car and showing up. I think the restrictions on not using old cars or clan cars might have to go.

im down for this, the themed events where always fun, like the pink pony tourntey etc...

Understandable on the car building. I think the rest of the rules should make for a good event though.

Count me in, as long as it's full contact you can't go wrong.

Too busy building, prepping, and tracking my real cars brother....
Went to the track Sunday but was only able to make one pass (waited in line for over 3 hours to make this one pass with my track car after taking her from storage-- so had to make it count). Improved my 1/8 time and 60' but didn't get any time on 1/4... apparently that's something they have to be told even though they've put it on every slip every other time . Oh, and it had been so long since I'd been to the track in this one I almost accidentally did burnouts with my traction control activated... not fun in-case anyone was wondering. We were thinking it was around 11.0 second pass @125mph but won't be claiming it till I get a slip that says it. Had friends there that did a lot better than me this week, but like I said I just got her back from storage so this will be one great spring/summer season. Thinking about rebuilding my white stang for track use as well.

The ideas are gelling, how close are we to picking a weekend to put the hammer down?

I am good whenever. What works for the Late Night crowd? What days and times work best?

I'll take a look at my schedule and see what's going to work.

Sooner the better on this. I'll be there as long as I don't have to make and tune a dozen new cars.
