Nat type help
Anyone here know how in "easy" speak how to get my router from moderate nat to open. It is a ubee far as the model goes i do not know. New internet provider in town and i decided to upgrade from att dsl to cable internet. The att router i had was already an open nat but this new one is set to moderate. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Nat type help
An easy way to do it? None really. Get with someone that knows how on XBL and...
-Set a Static IP Address on your xbox (I recommend 192.168.1.101 as it is rarely used)
-DMZ that IP on your router (if possible)
-If that doesn't work, or isn't an option open up the XBL ports on your router:
88 UDP
3074 Both
53 Both
80 TCP
If you're still not Open... get a new router lol. Jk jk, but really if DMZ or port forwarding doesn't work you're going to be in for a rough time and go from the "Here's how you open your ports" solutions to "You're pretty much SOL" solutions.

Re: Nat type help
on top of what atrum told u make sure UPnP is also enabled
and if all that does not work you can always try unplugging your routers power wait a min then turn it back on (its a temp/ last shot fix)
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) allows Windows Me and XP to automatically configure the Router for various Internet applications, such as gaming and videoconferencing.
