I have always loved watching the olympics and will probably spend a lot of the next 2 and a half weeks glued to the TV watching all the coverage that I can.

I thought the Olympics opened this weekend, especially since the Opening Ceremonies are on the 27th.

that goes with the major train systems .train drivers are on strike

security for Olympic staff members in the hotel there staying at was set to 80 members of a security force out of that 2 showed up to work 1 was arrested for showing up to work with weed in his pocket.

i think this is the most i have ever watched all the stuff before the games just to see the fail..

Soccer started today. Pretty much everything else will start on Saturday.

Yeah, the women will have to carry the load since the men couldn't step up and actually qualify.

i love watching the Olympics... especially the random sh1t at like 3am... crap like the first round of the badminton doubles and table tennis... or the shot put/discus/hammer/javelin qualifying rounds... see people that fall into that "happy to be there" category... normally all you see is the winner for stuff like that on the highlights...

always funny seeing the people that look hungover... too much partying in Olympic Village + knowing they are like the 40th best in their event
