RAGE

Who is thinking of picking up RAGE? I was reading yesterday that it will be on 3 discs for 360! Three- that is insane. Just thinking about a game like Dead Island, with its quality graphics and large open world maps (think of what all goes into the city or Jungle levels), thinking about 3 discs worth of content for RAGE is impressive. I don’t even know what the online component is, but it was also mentioned in the article I was reading. Honestly, I didn’t even know if there was going to be a multiplayer component.

I think I will only be renting, as I don’t know how much it will work in my rotation after Battlefield, COD, and Skyrim are released. I either need to send Dead Island back today or tomorrow if I want a chance at getting it, or just up my GameFly sub to two games for the next month.

I wanna get it but there is just too much stuff coming Out, prob gamefly it but not for awhile. whats the multiplayer envolve? ididn't even know it had it

I am planning on GF right now but I might just buy it. Rage looks amazing. It will have a deep and well crafted SP experience, co-op mission story line that you can do solo or co-op and a multiplayer component. The MP is a little different too. It is buggy/atv/suv type racing. Apperantly it's a pretty big part of the story too and the previews I have read said it was a lot of fun. I just don't think it will be the next big thing. Probably something fun to mess around with till the big games come out.

Still, really looking forward to this one. (and Dark Souls, which comes out on the same day too)

I'm in no big hurry for this one. Will play it eventually, but the guitar riff commercial didn't sell me on it being a must have day 1.

I went ahead and increased my gamefly to 2x games, with RAGE the only one on the list. So now I can play that solo, and still do co-op on Dead Island!

Nice! I have a two game plan on my GF as well. Seems like the perfect number. I almost always have something to send back unless I get really back logged like the holiday is going to do. Like right now I have both Dark Souls and Rage on the list with only 1 open slot. Rage is higher ranked so it will be interesting to see which game actually ships.

I'm glad I increased my subscription.

W00t! Got my E-mail notification from GameFly this morning- I should have this by Wednesday. Between this and Dead Island, I'll be able to stay occupied up until the BF3 launch.

THIS ^ Rage is shipping from GF for me too. I can't wait. I still have Dead Island as well, plus Forza 4 comes out in 8 days! Let the games begin!!!

Same here gf email recieved rage shipped. I should have it by Thursday the latest

I'll be buying this one,nsome of these FPS I like mainly for the story not so much for the multiplayer unless it's really good.

Same here. Maybe once I become a Store Manager and have my own minions and a more regular schedule I'll try getting into it. There's tons of games that you guys get into that I'd be interested in trying but I don't want to buy them up front.

FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVED BOARDER LANDS THIS GAME IS A MUST!!!!

it play alot like it with a great story once it gets going that is things start a little slow but keep getting better and better

How do you install the 3 discs to the hard drive? Is it each one separately, or do you do the first and it prompt you to add the next disc like a PC would?

I just got to play a little last night, but so far so good. The environment and graphics are top notch- much more of an appocolptic feel than even Fallout or Borderlands. Then again, Fallout is more of an "alternate universe" type game. I'm looking forward to getting more into it.

Well, I finally got to play a little Rage late night and I must say that I am impressed. And I had pretty high expectations for the game too. First and foremost the graphics are amazing! This is seriously one of the best looking games I have even seen. It is sharp, crystal clear and runs buttery smooth. The world itself is unique and by far the best looking post-apocalyptic world to date.

The game also has some great characters and good voice acting too. Everyone I have encountered has been very well crafted. Same goes for the settlements too. I am still early in the game but so far I have visited some pretty visually awesome places. You can pretty fully explore these places, interact with the people there and even pick up side quests.

It's not and RPG but it kinda feels a little like one. You don't receive XP and you can't level the character up. At lease not with skill points. Instead you simply receive new weapons, ammo and other helpful item that make you more powerful.

As for the story? Not sure just yet. It starts strong and I am enjoying it so far. More to come as I play through the game. Stay tuned.

Finished it today. I may go back and do the few side missions I left out. I can't say it got better or that I enjoyed it more after the first few hours. I am glad I rented it, as I don't see much replay. I need to delve into the multiplayer more, but honestly it's not that interesting.

Yeah, I heard that it drops off in the second half which is a shame since it starts out so strong in my opinion. How long did it take? And did you ever install disk 2 and 3? Or did you just go with disk loading? And if the latter, did you notice additional load times?
