Dream Car?

Inspired by a thread in the racing section, I thought I would pose this question. What is your "Dream Car"? The one car you would have over any other. It can be current or historic but must be a legitimate production car. Or at least actually produced (no concepts) even if it was just in a small number. It just has to be "real". Ready? Go!

P.S. Pics and description are encouraged. It would also be nice to hear why you like it.

Fast, AWD, fairly inexpensive, and reliable. That and I'm a fan of the look. Would definitely go black with it.

2011 Ford Ranger



My first car, that I still drive is a 2000 ford Ranger. I really enjoy have all the advantages of having a truck without having a monster in your driveway.

these are my dream car and in this order is how i like them first up

It used to be the Reventon but 1) it's Italian and will therefore break every few thousand miles and 2) I can't see it being practical enough to be enjoyable anywhere other than a track.

Yep 2011 ford ranger is my dream car. Reliable, affordable, functional.

Well here she is...



The 2011 Farrari 458 Italia. Possibly the greatest Farrari ever made. Seriously. And that is saying something coming from a big Farrari fan. It's just a brilliant, fast and amazingly beautiful car. Impractical and insane but just amazing to drive and that is what a Farrari is supposed to be. It is also one of the fastest street legal cars ever made. 0-60 in 3.5 sec and a top speed of 202 mph.

If I could have any car ever, this would be it.

Sweet ride, but I believe in practical cars and would probably only drive that once or twice if money was no object. Then wrap a cover over it like Jay Leno's garage cars. Seriously....I'm a simple man with simple tastes. Not to mention very frugal. But again....very sweet!!

Also for the "nest step up" from my 3000gt, the Lancer Evo IX MR, which everyone has seen me use since forza 2:

Here are some of my other favorites...

The 2008 Audi RS4



420hp 4.2L naturally aspired V8 in a car the size of a standard A4 = WIN. Highly praised as one of the best engines ever made, the same V8 was also used in the original Audi R8 before going to the V10. Featuring Audi's Quattro AWD system and a redline of 8000RPM's this thing is a BEAST! (80% of it's power is available from 2500 RPM's). And one of my favorite things about the car, is that aside from some very minor changes and an RS4 badge, this thing looks like a standard A4. Pull up to the light and no one will know the power you have till your already gone. #1 Family Dream Car.

Up next is the 2011 Audi S4



A close 2nd. Not quite as powerful featuring a 330hp Supercharged V6 it's still quick with a 0-60 in 4.9sec. Fortunately several upgrades to the style, interior and suspension/drivetrain helps make up for it. This is the nicest S4 in terms of handling and interior. Beautifully appointed on the inside but it's also a beast on the track. New improvements basically eliminate understeer and this is the first car to dethrown the coveted 3 Series BMW by reviewers. An amazing car overall, I just wish they would bring back the RS4. This modern version with the RS4 engine would be one of the best cars ever made. Unfortunately they don't make the RS4 anymore so the S4 is the best current replacement for the above mentioned legend.
