CoD4 Pripyat
Came across this slide show:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/europe/04/19/chernobyl.25/index.html
In the wake of the Japan disaster they were looking back at Chernobyl. The images of Pripyat are creepy - crazy how accurate those CoD4 maps are. While clicking through I kept thinking, "yeah I used to hide right there" and "oh there's that building too." Make me want to break it out and run that SP map again.

If you have never seen this site, it is worth checking out. B-Machine sent this to me a while ago, and it is really cool. There might be a newer site, but I have the link to the old one.

One thing you forget- is how big of a city it was, and now is a massive ghost town:
When I was out of town last week, I was away for Radiation Safety training. The instructor was in college during the Manhattan project, and has been in the Nuclear field from pretty much the beginning. He had some cool stories to tell, but most that we know of rad science comes from dropping the bombs in WW2 on Japan- not as much from Chernobyl, as the Soviets didn't share information openly then.

There is a crazy movie out, called Vice Guide to Travel and the guys from Vice magazine go around the world and show you a lot of fucked up sh1t. Like Chernobyl with 'mutated' animals, the worlds largest illegal arms market in Pakistan... and others.
for you NetFlix guys, I believe you can watch it instantly.

Definitely worth checking out.
