Metal of Honor renames Taliban in MP

That's right, they buckled under the pressure and changed the name from "Taliban" to "Opposing Forces" in the Multiplayer portion of the game. I know it is a bit of a sensitive subject and I would never want to upset any member of the armed forced or their loved ones but I am a little disappointed. I mean they actually had the balls to put the Taliban in the game and made them playable in MP. It was a bold move and I was proud of their resolve. It's kinda a shame they backed down in the 11th Hour. But I suppose it's all for the best.

good i'm glad they changed their name, the game doesn't have to be that real and specific to be a good game. And we still have a lot of american heros fighting and protetecting us from those aholes.

Putting the name of a specific terrorist organization in the game is kinda lame. Kinda makes me think it's a publicity stunt. You've played every Tom Clancy game and know who he's talking about for each, but has he ever said al qaeda or named specific Mexican Drug Cartels? NO. Yet, his games are still WIN!

That would be sensitive to say the least....

The other "possible" reason was AAFES was not going to carry the game ANYWHERE so I'm sure that may have had just a small part of their decision. lol
