Interseptor's LNS Tag Team Tourney
I am proud to present Interseptor's LNS Tag Team Tourney. As Forza Friday's continue, things continue to get crazy. This week we are doing another Full Contact Team event. In this event, Full Contact is allowed and anything goes * except driving backwards. This will be a Tag Team Event, meaning only one person on the team is racing at a time. Players must "Tag up" at the end of each lap and swap places. The "it" player will race their lap while their teammate waits to race. Only "it" players can hit and cause damage. Waiting players are to remain in the designated area until "tagged".
Teams are placed in the order the final racer finishes (or in the order which they are wrecked out). Team with the highest points wins!
A few rules of note...
Racers
Once racing anything goes expect driving backwards. Hitting, pitting, smashing, stopping, and big bears are all on the table. But remember, if you can't get back to "tag" your teammate, your team will be out of the race so choose your strategy well. Tagging will continue every lap up to the final tag of the final lap where the racers will complete the race as normal. Racers are NOT allowed to hit any waiting player except their own teammate. You will "tag" you teammate by physically hitting them. Soft taps are obviously the best way to "tag".
Waiting Players
The official waiting area will be directly before the pit on each track. You must wait off the road on the grass or dirt and may not block or interfere. Once you "tag" your teammate, you may enter the pit and repair your car for the next lap if needed (DO NOT enter the pit on the final lap as it would end the race). Once repaired you will turn around and head back to the waiting area and wait for your teammate to "tag" you Waiting player should not cause damage to one another or other racers and stay off the road. Until "tagged" you should avoid all contact if possible.
To change things up, this will be an S-Class Event. The rules are pretty simple and as follows:

NOTE: I know some of you saw the title and thought this had to do with Sticky's Mom. Sorry for the confusion but this should be fun too.

What if...
There are two opposing racers colliding with each other and one happens to spin out into the awaiting drivers who are not 'it' yet.
Should be some rule for people as soon as they get tagged so that people coming into the pit dont take advantage of the slow speed of the just-tagged car, total it, and then proceed to pit.

That is why you are only allowed contact with your own teammate. Yes, once tagged you are technically open to be hit but I would hope we are mature enough to run with the spirit of the race.
As an added rule, I would say that within the general area of the "waiting area" all hitting is suspended. That way it would work kind of like a respawn timer. I am open to all suggestions and rules and we can even change things during the Tourney if we think something is not working. Keep in mind that I just thought of this yesterday so there might be some holes in the rules.
Remember, I intend to hit things, have fun and possibly get drunk. Should be a blast.

*Also, accidents happen so if you do get wrecked right as you are tagged, you can at least hit the pit's right away.

What if at the start of the race we don't just take off but let everyone get into position. ie: racers line up evenly at the start while team mates move to the staging area. That way it's not a cluster f#ck right from the start. Then when everyone is in position we can do a 3...2...1...GO!

We could either make everyone wait at the start and do a count down

Do a multi-class race and sort by PI. That way if it was A and S class, you could make one start in the back, then they would have plenty of time to get into position.

Multi-Class is a good option. I like that idea. What ever we decide is fine with me.
But hell, we could just do a free-for-all off the start up to the first corner for all I care. You know you guys want to hit stuff.

So should we make the 1st corner the designated "tag" area for each track?
I think FFA to the first corner would be interesting - everyone will have to remember there's no going backwards though, so that should keep contact reasonable.

Well, I like the "tag area" being just before the pit for two reasons:
1) You tag up before the finish line, not after. Therefore one player starts the race and the other player finishes with equal # of laps by both players
2) If you are able to crawl to the pit and tag up, you can pit immediately and wait for your teammate to come around again.
Now it's true that waiting players can pit and come back to the waiting area so technically they do get to go backwards but the idea is to drive on the grass back to the waiting area. What I am trying to avoid with "No Driving Backwards" is people straight up racing backwards. Waiting players are the only ones allowed to drive backwards.
With that in mind, if we did a FFA up to the first corner, waiting players would simply pull off once the fist corner was reached and go back to the official waiting area. I think it's getting too confusing having everyone race to the first corner.
I vote we just do all the same class, and do a manual countdown after everyone is positioned.
That way we all know where the 'tag' area is, and there is no confusion or high speed wreck outs right at the start from non-racers (accident or otherwise).
The one thing that might be neat is to do a start with everyone side by side. So everyone drives back to the 'Tag' zone, then Fast and the Furious style the racers pull up to the line and we have a countdown and race.

This tournament does not seem like it will be as destructive as the last few since you'll have half as many cars racing at one time. Kinda worried that it will turn into a 'clean' tournament except for maybe the first 10 seconds of the race where everyone is close to each other for the first couple turns.

The tag part should be interesting, especially if 2 people are close and someone misses their partner or hits them too hard.
That and it'll suddenly be a disadvantage to be in front in the last corner. I know I'll be spinning out anyone near me!

I intend to do some damage as well. Plus, you have to remember that we may have to deal with lap traffic due to someone be behind due to damage etc...

We can just randomly change colors like we did last time. I don't think there's much need for balancing the teams. Really most of the 'fast' racers just want to crush peoples dreams/cars. Well, everyone does for that matter.

Yeah, doing a light tag would be a bit difficult considering our tag teaming skills from the first tournament. Also I'd say that I have a 50/50 chance of showing for this one since I have family staying at apartment this week.
