No Man's Sky Empty No Man's Sky

Wasn't sure if anyone else has this on their radar.  Came across this game on a "must play list for 2015".  Up until I saw it today, i hadn't heard anything about it.  Read up a little bit and watched a gameplay trailer and if it is able to live up to what they're promising, this will probably be where my time goes next year after it's released.

Looks interesting but lacking in longevity to keep the game fun.

I dunno, from what it sounds like there's going to be 40-100 hrs of gameplay if you head straight to the center of the galaxy and an unknown amount of time if you take the time to explore planets and set up trade routes.  I'll definitely keep this on my radar.

Keeping an eye on it for sure.  Probably pick it up assuming it's not a $60 game.  $20-$30 seems about right and I would pick it up for sure.

If I were to get a game for the PS4 (and if I had a PS4), it would be this one. I saw this during the Sony conference at E3 and it looked really cool.  I don't see how I could put over 40 hours into it though from what I currently know.  Seems like the gameplay would get old.

@Interseptor - Yeah, not sure how much I'd be willing to spend on it, that will probably be a deciding factor in wether or not I buy it.

@Xpert - I think the 40-100hrs comes from exploring different planets in different systems so that you can harvest the fuel and resources to buy and fuel the ships you need to get to the center of the universe.  However, I could easily see myself getting sidetracked with creating and running trade routes while hoarding vehicles, kinda like I did in AC: Black Flag with the pirating.

It better not be 60 bucks. I was thinking $20 at the most, and honestly the way Sony has been backing this I would not be surprised if this is a playstation plus game.

It appears as though this will be a PS4/Windows PC release, not sure if sometime down the road it will hit XB1 as port from the PC version.

The idea behind this game is really cool, but there's VERY little gameplay from what I've been able to see.  So far it looks like a really cool tech demo, but not much more than that.  I do like the philosophy behind the game though.  I hope there's a lot more to it then just "Fly to new planet, check out cool scenery, randomly shoot stuff".  Is there any sort of objective other than exploring?  Can you ever actually "beat" the game?

Pretty much this ^

However, I did hear there is supposed to be a story involved and still a lot we don't know so I am cautiously optimistic.  I figure if it's not too expensive I'll definitely buy it just to see what it's like.  The demo's have been very cool.

Since I have all three platforms I'm not too worried.

The devs said they are not showing a lot of the game because they want people to see it for themselves when they play it. Game informer wrote up a good article on it.
