Looks like another pretty good update to come in June...

External Storage, Real Names and More Coming with Xbox One System Update in June

Looks good I like the auto account sign in so I don't have wait for the kinect to recognize me or pick it myself. Screws up how it connects to live some times if I log in after I launch a game. External storage is also a cool feature.

and happy to hear it does not have to be a MS branded HDD  XD
now if only  there was a way to store the OS to an SSD and make my xb1 like my pc lol

Just glanced thru the article and it sounds like a lot of good stuff.  PS4 has done some of this already, don't know why both systems didn't use this stuff from the get go.

Probably because they were rushing to release the systems for the Holiday season.

Yup, they both definitely launched earlier than they should have. Though, they also took ages to make the new consoles anyway so they had to release someday.
