This thing is ridiculously quiet!

Man I'm thrilled!  Sorry just had to post that.  I can't even hear the thing when I'm next to it!

yeah, there was one point when i first turned it on and it was at a blank screen for awhile, and I was sitting there thinking 'Oh sh1t... I don't hear it running', but it's just that quiet I guess. lol

SOooo have party chat going  got pandora playing  Dling the 1g update for ghost  Dling youtube player all at the same time love it

The whisper quite thing can come back to hunt owners though. Lets hope overheating isn't an issue.

Possibly but this console is also quite a bit larger so one would think that would allow for better cooling through the use of slower turning larger fans. I guess we will have to wait and see when someone opens one up!!!

thats why i was happy about the power brick i know alot of people QQ over it but less heat inside the xbox itself the better

And I thought the box was much larger to allow for better air flow in the top of the case to help disapate heat.

It's still not as big as the PS3. I am glad you posted the long initial load and it's quietness, or I would have been worried right at first.
