Re: Anime Discussion
To expand on my list...
My Hero Academia - First couple eps are good, but nothing happens really. I strongly advise keeping up with this one. I dove into the manga, and it's good. This show will be pretty epic.
A few others I started...
Divine Gate
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash
Endride
Dimension W
Not all new, but all looked interesting

Re: Anime Discussion
Watched the first two episodes of Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress. I'm looking forward to this entire series to quench that Attack on Titan thirst.
Re: Anime Discussion
I'll do my new season post another time, but I decided to give Food Wars a shot.
It's definitely NSFW, but it's a pretty funny show.
I binge watched it starting friday night and finished on saturday.
If you're an anime fan, you'll probably enjoy the humor. It's definitely overly sexualized early on.

Totally agree. Especially the first episode its insanely sexual. However I think it simmers down later into the season. But holy sh1t every chick has massive boobs in that show for sure. Second season is going right now with 2 episodes out so far. I also started watching the new Beserk anime. I have to say its hard getting passed those 3d animations, but I love the story so I will continue to watch it.
Re: Anime Discussion
I'm enjoying the new berserk. The animation style is dumb, but I've sat through worse. It's not so distracting that I can't watch it.

Re: Anime Discussion
Wife overheard me watching demon king daimo asked if I was watching anime porn... Awkward lol it was NSFW and only 3 or 4 overly sexual episodes lol and she heard one of them.
Still working on naruto. I believe I'm almost to the 400th episode.
Saw Dubbed trailer for one punch coming this month.
Holding out for dragon ball super to dub.
Not sure where to head next. On my site I watch from I can click random anime and based off the genre I'll watch a couple and see if it's something I'd like.

The Dragonball Super movie is literally the same thing as the series, just FYI. (cut down for time ofc)

Re: Anime Discussion
Haven't really seen anything new. I've just felt like re-watching some anime recently. Saw that Cowboy Bebop was on sale for Prime Day, so I might pick that up.
There's also news that Crunchyroll is going to be distributing DVDs and Blu Rays of anime that they'll be providing subs and dubs for. I thought that was neat. Maybe if there is more competition in the West for physical media, prices for some anime won't be so d@mn high.
I'm curious to listen to the dub of Hunter x Hunter and One Punch Man as they're up there in my all time favorites.

Re: Anime Discussion
Got caught up with Berserk's most recent episodes. I also decided to search around for peoples favorite animes and found "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU" as a highly praised anime. I figured it was going to be light hearted, but f#ck talk about pushing emotional buttons. I also started watching "Days", a soccer anime. Others on my list to start / continue watching are "Bungo Stray Dogs", "Re:ZERO", "Joker Game", and "Ace Attorney".
Re: Anime Discussion
Re:Zero is fantastic. Definitely watch that.
Joker Game is cool and a nice break from most modern anime. I can't call it great until we get another season (or two) under the belt to see if they have a big over-arching plot (similar to how cowboy bebop did).
Bungo Stray Dogs is a lot of fun. It's surprisingly funny.
Ace Attorney is pretty much what you would expect it to be.

Re:Zero is consuming my soul and emotional state... Holy f#ck what a ride. I'm on episode 15.
Re: Anime Discussion
Apparently Re:Zero wraps up next week (not sure if that's for season or ever, as I avoid looking into plot aside from watching the ep)

I was told I have never posted a current pic with my arm tat. This is the only one I had on hand (about a year old), but...

Re: Anime Discussion
I forgot to season the potatoes and probably used too much potato, but it still tasted great. Not enough to make my clothes explode though... Was an expensive meal to make (mainly because of the red wine glaze), so I probably won't be making it again for awhile, but at least I have plenty of leftovers!

yeah great anime for sure. I'm far to lazy to make a complicated meal like that.
Re: Anime Discussion
Alderamin on the Sky was quite interesting.
I believe the season ended this week, but it's definitely setup for an interesting story going forward - all without having an unfinished story or awful cliffhanger.
Check it out if you've got some cycles for it.

Re: Anime Discussion
I saw where atrum talked about hunter x hunter and I really enjoy that series. But I have a question as I'm confused when watching.
Is it like natuto vs naruto shippuden or full metal alchemist vs brotherhood.
Cause I've watched all of hunterxhunter on my site dubbedanime.net and it states that the 62 episode series is complete. But I've seen a lot more than 62 episodes available on other subbed sites. So is that where hunterxhunter (2011) comes in to play? The continuation?
Then I found OVA Spider, green island, green island final. So I watch these before 2011? Even though 2011 starts from the beginning like hunterxhunter does.
IM SO LOST
I mean hunterxhunter stopped right as it was getting good and I want more.

As I understand it HxH 2011 is the one you want to watch. That is the series I am watching and it's quite good.

Re: Anime Discussion
It's like FMA vs FMA: Brotherhood
FMA (original) and HxH (original) started and caught up with the manga they're based on.
Then the creators gave them weird BS endings that were 'fine' but nothing special
Years later both were remade as FMA: Brotherhood, and HxH(2011).
Both of these follow the manga MUCH closer, and have the actual endings that were intended by the author.
So to summarize - the original HxH really does end before it gets good.
Start FROM THE BEGINNING with HxH 2011. It's similar, but very much changed. And it continues way beyond where the old one ended.

Re: Anime Discussion
Thank y'all for clearing it up. I googled and some people said different orders to watch them all. Like FMA showed a lot more back story that FMA: Brotherhood, so it was good to watch both.

Yeah... they definitely added a lot of stuff to the old FMA. Given how popular it was, there's a reason they had so much pressure to get an anime out before the story was really finished.

Re: Anime Discussion
Finished up Steins;Gate last night. Really solid anime and worth checking out for sure. Great cast of characters and a interesting time travel story that overall wraps up nicely. 24 eps plus an OVA. Good stuff.
