CoD:BO2 Practice Schedule

Update 8/2/2013:
Monday night "practice" night is suspended indefinitely.  We all still play a lot on Monday and every other night though.  Stay tuned for more tournaments and events in the near future.  Game on!

Old:
Practice will be Mondays 8:30-10:30 PM Eastern. These nights will vary between tournaments, map reviews, strats and tactics, and just for fun games. I hope to see everyone there.  This coming Monday will be a breakout tournament - be sure to check out the tournament thread!

Great practice, good turnout. I hope everyone had fun. Thank you for the cooperation with the boring but necessary part at the beginning of each map. Hope to see yall next week! Our next maps are:

If time allows at the end we will run through one of the first three for the benefit of those who missed out: Aftermath, Cargo, or Carrier.

Nice practice lastnight had alot of fun playing with alot of you!!

Don't forget practice tonight! We will try to get through 4 maps this time: Drone, Express, Hijacked, and Meltdown. Drone and Meltdown are fairly complex maps and will require a few extra minutes to name the landmarks. The other 2 are fairly simple and should go quickly. For each map we will first enter as a FFA gun game - please do not shoot each other (yet). Once we go over the map then we will complete the gun game, followed by a round of Hardpoint to practice what we learned. If time allows we will also run a round of either Domination or Search and Destroy on these maps as well. At the end of each practice we will finish up with a knives only or sticks and stones match, just for fun.

So 4 maps this week, 4 next week, and 4 the following week - that will wrap up the map reviews and we can then move on to more game mode specific tactics and review any maps we are still struggling to communicate effectively on.

Hope to see everyone there tonight - putting in a couple hours with your clanmates to get on the same page verbally is very helpful to us all; I saw a lot of improvement over the week with our communication on the maps we already went over, and also saw first hand how we struggled on a few of the more complex maps that we haven't yet worked on. Please make the effort to show up tonight - let me know if the time is a problem for you. I'd be happy to review any maps with anyone who can't make this 7-9 central time slot.

I've got good landmark names for Meltdown (real names as it's a power plant in which I am familiar). Depending on my kids I may try to get to practice.

If possible jump on a few minutes early to discuss these or call me. Otherwise you can just correct me as we go through it.

I've mentioned elsewhere, but I'll mention it here also. I won't be able to attend practice tonight. Hopefully next Monday and beyond will be back to normal. Have fun tonight fellas!

Mondays are hit and miss for me. Especially this time of year. I'll be on if I can.

Got to go to the funeral home tonight. A good friend's mother passed over the weekend.

My Xbox doesnt arrive until tomorrow, won't be on tonight, but I'll be on tomorrow night for sure.

I will be unable to lead practice tonight. I'm hoping someone else will step up and organize, but looks like it may be a no-go. Should be people on to play with against the public though. Sorry everyone.

I'll be a no-show for tonight.

I showed up but between the semi-headache I have plus the way I was playing, I was just getting more frustrated as the games went on. If I can't figure something out soon regarding my talent level on this game I feel like it's just about to end for me. My fun level on this game is pretty low. I've never been this much worse at any game in any period in my life compared to everybody else that I am now.

It may be time to reexamine your play style and the kits you are choosing. Hit me up next time you see me on. I have had to adapt quite a bit to this new edition and am doing better than I've done in any previous installment.

Don't forget - Black Ops 2 tonight! Knightowl will be driving the bus - I'll be there but taking a back seat due to coughing and generally just feeling like sh1t - I'm battling the flu. Hope to see everyone there! We will go over 3 or 4 maps - I forecast heavy fun.

Sounds like a blast! The wife's been having a rough pregnancy week (we almost had baby #2 on saturday) so I won't be able to get on until after the kid is asleep. I'm hoping I can make it for the 2nd half of practice.

Probably going to miss this week too. If I'm on it will either be my brother or the two of us blowing of steam with some Madden.
