Finished my first play-through. Some people have been complaining about the endings, but I thought it was fine. Could have been a bit better, but still fine.

What is really pissing me off though is after the credits and pressing A on the datapad screen to continue playing I get a black screen of death - game breaker. I have to exit all the way out to the dashboard. When I come back in I can reload the ending sequence but can't get past to start a New Game Plus. This is unbelievable. Here are threads of others having my problem.

Good luck - I hope no one else here gets affected.

I'm about to drive to Edmondton Canada and shove this disc up the ass of the highest ranking employee I can find where I hope it will then break into a million ass-ripping shards.

Here's an article that blames it on my gamertag.

Luke I remember having the same problem with Knights of the Old Republic back in the day. Both Bioware games BTW.

Yes I did blow it up but only because I didn't realize I had to get to the mission in time. I still have close to 500 Krogan support.

@Coolhand - That sucks Luke. I'm nowhere near the ending but if that happens to me I'll be really pissed. I used to have this problem with KotoR or KotoR 2 (I don't remember which) and it would usually be in the middle of the campaign and the only solution was to delete your saves and start over. So far I'm not having any problems.

@OC - henceforth you will be known as "Deathstar"

Well I kept reloading and completing the game, and talked to a guy at EA. Not sure if he pressed a magic button or if it just started working but now I'm able to import my ME3 character for a new game. Note: it does not say "New Game +" like the others, but if you can import from ME3 then it registered completing the game. It still gives be a black screen of death upon completion, but no big deal since I can just reload the game and start the imported new game. Yea!

Gotta give it up to EA tech support - second time I've used em - put in your phone number and you get a call from a live person in 10-15 minutes.

There have been a couple other glitches I found: on my second romance scene my love interest was invisible, so I was making out with the air - that was weird. Another conversation had me standing behind the person I was talking to and their head would go from extreme right to extreme left, back and forth, reminded me of the exorcist. Mostly just some minor glitches.

I have really enjoyed this game and enjoying my new playthrough on Insanity.

***A few gameplay tips:

Found another glitch: on the Turian Platoon rescue mission if you kill the second harvester too fast it won't load the enemies and third harvester so that you can complete the mission and unlock the next mission. Took looking this up on the interwebs to find out how to get past this. I was kinda ticked but back on track now.

From what I read, the bug I had was because I'm too efficient of a killing machine and killed the harvester too quickly and cleanly.

Kinda ticked that I "lost" like 4 citadel missions because I cleared everything on Tuchanka before heading back to the citadel to complete them. I'll just have to remember that for next time. So far though I'm still thoroughly impressed by the game.

Yep, Priority: Tuchanka is a turning point - complete everything up to this point before starting it except:
Citadel: Cerberus Automated Turret Schematics
Citadel: Heating Unit Stabilizers
Irune: Book of Plenix

Yeah, I didn't realize that until AFTER I completed it. I like to complete everything for an area/planet and then move on to the next so that I don't spend a lot of time on load screens/cut scenes for travel.

I had done all the work needed to complete those missions and Citadel was my next stop, but I guess I saved myself a little time and left myself something new for my next playthrough. I probably didn't miss out on much but maybe part of a level worth of experience and some credits. If I missed more I'll find out on my next run.

A few war assets lost, but you can make these up by playing some multiplayer for a multiplier.

d@mn, forgot about the war assets, that's probably really the only thing that I'll miss. I'll have to save right before the final battle and if I get my butt handed to me I'll go back and play some MP for the additional help.

4000 effective resources??? That's a ton, and you get that from those missions I missed or from MP. I'm not sure how far into the game I am but I've only got like 2500-3000 resources from solo campaign.

I'm still workin' my way through the 1st play through...Trying to finish up the 1st round of Citadel missions, before I cure the genophage. Lovin' that Prothean weapon I got w/the Prothean mission on Eden Prime...that gun is bad ass.

I did hit a glitch with recruiting the Eclipse gang to the war via Aria. I didn't set the crazy chick free, but supported her second to take over. After that nothing happened. He was suppose to talk to Aria, but he didn't. Maybe next time.

Yeah, the Prothean rifle is pretty sweet, especially when you fully upgrade it to lvl 5, put the extended mags on it and increase the damage. I love running around and vaporizing things so much that I usually try to have at least one other team member with one so we're like ghost busters just torching the crap out of everything. Gotta watch out, though, cuz I ran into a glitch because I was able to kill some guys too fast that it didn't trigger the next group of encounters.
