Finally enrolled in school, wheeew

I like to cook, it's what I do and it's my passion, I got accepted and enrolled into Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago (any s7 around there?) I leave my job I've been at for 4 years the last week of April and will be in Chicago May 1st. School starts the 21st of May and I found a nice apartment about a mile from school, 2 miles away from downtown; also found a possible job opening at a restaurant I've dreamed of working at, Girl and the Goat.

I am excited to leave the nest and get out on my own, start living the dream!

Congrats on that! I'm in Michigan now but I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago.

WOW!!! Some may not understand what it takes to even get into a school like that. You sir have my respect. And I now expect to have you cater any/all S7 events!!! I supply the brew, you cook the food!

Awesome! Sounds like you have the drive to do great in the culinary world so keep us posted. And, as klown said, we definitely need you at any future clan gatherings for catering.

I know, but noone has made it really mainstream, I've looked into it and couldn't find more than a handful of restaurants that do gourmet sandwiches, homemade bread, fancy meats, aged cheeses, and homemade chips on it? I think it will work. Soups and sandwiches always work, why not make it a little less traditional? Traditions are boring

I just want a LAN center in the back of your restaurant and I'll be happy.

Once the dishes are done the back will be open for LANing

I love me some food, here is an untapped idea that needs to be looked into, portable/ no utensil chinese food, all they have is egg rolls, sping rolls, wontons and chickin on a stick. I'm thinking giant egg rolls, like a burrito size filled with fried rice and garlic chicken or any of those dishes you get on a buffet
