First No-no in MLB 2K10 Empty First No-no in MLB 2K10

Post by DeadSockPuppet Thu Jun 30, 2011 1:25 pm

Just threw my first no-no in MLB 2k10 with Carlos Zambrano against the Rockies. It was in Spring Training, but in the last week so the Rockies were fielding their starters all game. I'm pretty impressed considering I've only played a handful of games. And while I've had the game for over a year, I put all my time into playing just in Superstar mode and only recently have I started playing full games. Here were Big Z's numbers:

IP: 9, K: 12, H: 0, BB: 0, E: 0

Final score for the game was Cubs 2, Rockies 0. Runs were scored on a D. Lee solo yard job and an RBI single by G. Soto.

Sweet, did it last year with CC but haven't really tried this year. Guess no one got the loot yet either for a perfect game?

Yeah, I haven't seen a commercial or anything for it so the money has to be still out there.

Sorry folks, we had a winner a while back now. He actually pitched it on the first day of the competition but it took a while to verify and announce the winner. I remember reading about it a while back.

I mean 2K11 winner, but he was talking last years game...which I pitched a perfect game for with CC. This year I hadn't heard of anything.

Got it, thanks and too bad this dork won and not a more worthy true baseball fan. He said he knew nothing about the game and doesn't watch...DISQUALIFIED!!!! baseball is next to godliness to some of us and a random dude that doesn't respect the game should not be smiled upon by the baseball gods.

Yeah, that's pretty crap. I played a couple games with that same 2010 Cubs team before I completely dismantled and rebuilt the position players. The only two players I kept were Soriano and Soto, Soto because he's a solid catcher and Soriano because I couldn't find a team that was willing to take his salary and give me a solid player. In the process I managed to cut like $20+ mil in salary (Ramirez and Lee) and I improved my entire starting fielding crew to overall ratings of 80+, with most of them being in the high 80's. I took my new team to play the Yankees in Spring Training and managed to pitch a shutout with Dempster while dropping 14 runs on them. Yeah, this team is gonna be a menace.
