Ok New mac mini came out today
I'm looking at a configuration of
2.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
8GB SDRam
500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
The new mac mini has no optical drive not sure I need one yet so I may hold off on getting one.
It has an HDMI out and I only have one in one my current TV that is used by my xbox. I can hook it up via mini display port to VGA. that is how I have my laptop hooked up now but the image quality will not be as good as HDMI so still thinking about a neew TV.
Apple also came out with a new 27 inch thunderbolt moniter very sexy looking
Apple Thunderbolt Display (27-inch) [Add $999.00 but the price is high.

For Xbox you can hook up the 360 by component and set your resolution to 720p. You will see no difference (besides maybe the loss of artifacts- which is a good thing) unless you are using (lol) a HD-DVD. All 360 games are coded to 720p, and by playing them at 1080p you are only upscaling them anyhow and do not need the HDMI for that. HDMI is necessary only for native 1080p (thus the HD-DVD comment).
