MP3 Player Empty MP3 Player

Post by S7 Uncle Charles Mon May 23, 2011 2:26 pm

I've had a couple Sansa Players and like them very much. The only thing I hate is Rhapsody. I'm thinking about getting a new player and was wondering what to get. I'd basically have to start over because I have many, many subscription songs downloaded...not too much of a problem. It's nice to start fresh sometimes.
I've stayed away from Ipod because I really don't like propitiatory stuff. Thinking of a Zune because I've been told you get free downloads with a subscription. Any advise would be appreciated.

I still love my Zune, and mainly for the Zune Pass. You can find good deals on Zune HD right now, as it looks like MS is moving away from MP3 only players and putting Zune in all it's Windows phones. You get 10 free songs a month for your $15 subscription, along with all the other songs you can download (rent) and stream. Plus you also get the zune pass on 360 if you want to stream music to your home stereo. Not counting the 360 your Zune pass works on 3 computers and 3 devices, so you could 2 windows phones and a zune player all with different music downloads!

Cool...I was looking at the 8mg which should be plenty of room since I use it for music only. Does it have a memory card slot to expand? where do you buy these things at? Best Buy? I think there's 2 models...touch screen and regular.

After all these years so do I. My daughter has been through about three over the years (just upgrading size, not broken) and just like me always heads right for the Zune rack...nothing else will do!

I hate apple more than any company and I have to admit the iPod is spectacular. I had a shuffle for about 10 years and it lasted through water, cars running over it, ski accidents, an avalanche, etc and never stopped playing. Touch's are great because you can play games on them also lol

Best Buy has a 32 gig on sale right now I believe. Otherwise, Wal Mart carries them and there is online (Amazon) or even the Zune store by themselves. I don't think you can buy anything but the touch right now and it comes in 16, 32, or 64 gig. I have the old 30 gig original, and use it every day and it's still ticking. I leave it in the car with the heat and cold and have no problems (now I have jinxed it and it will quit today for sure). It works flawlessly with the Sync radio in my Escape.
